Amiah graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Active Health and Rehabilitation. During her undergrad, she volunteered as a student athletic trainer for the Salmonbellies Jr. Lacrosse team and Sullivan Heights Secondary school football team.
As a Kinesiologist, she specializes in working with ICBC, WSBC and private clients with active rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, mental health and exposure therapy needs. She is also certified in Soft Tissue Release. Amiah believes that thorough assessments and client-practitioner communication and cooperation are key to successful treatments.
Currently, Amiah continues to expand her knowledge and experience in the field of Kinesiology by taking classes and workshops when available.

Ryan graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Masters of Physical Therapy, and has since pursued further training in orthopaedics and manual therapy, vestibular rehabilitation and concussion management.
Prior to pursuing his career in physiotherapy, he completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in kinesiology at the University of Victoria. During his undergraduate studies, Ryan also completed a strength and conditioning internship with the Canadian Sport Institute in Victoria, BC, and acquired his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist designation.
Ryan is a believer in an evidence-based approach to treatment, and enjoys working collaboratively with clients to create treatment plans that will help them to realize their rehabilitation or performance goals.

Back in Motion Health counsellors are all master’s-level trained mental health professionals that hold a license in good professional standing with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors, designating them as Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC).
We are here for you, no matter the support that you need to improve your mental health. We offer short or long-term counselling services using a variety of approaches: cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), talk therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness and acceptance-based therapies, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), somatic experiencing, Rogerian therapy, etc.
Our services have no formal commitment required (number of sessions), although optimal outcomes require commitment to treatment.
Your initial counselling session consists of introductions, informed consent review, establishing rapport, and conducting formal or informal assessments as needed. Assessments may include questionnaires to evaluate symptoms of anxiety, depression, etc.
