Jeremy Edwards graduated from the UBC Master of Physical Therapy program and also holds a bachelor degree in Biology from UBC. Prior to becoming a Physiotherapist he worked as a fitness trainer and strength and conditioning coach. Jaslyen grew up in Abbotsford; she participated in a variety of sports in her childhood and remains a sports fanatic to this day. In addition to enjoying an active lifestyle, Jaslyen has a fondness for travel that stemmed from her education in French, English, and Punjabi.
She earned a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of the Fraser Valley in 2016 while on a basketball scholarship and went on to graduate as Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPThy) from Bond University (Australia) in 2019 with high distinction. Back in Motion Health counsellors are all master’s-level trained mental health professionals that hold a license in good professional standing with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors, designating them as Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC).
We are here for you, no matter the support that you need to improve your mental health. We offer short or long-term counselling services using a variety of approaches: cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), talk therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness and acceptance-based therapies, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), somatic experiencing, Rogerian therapy, etc.
Our services have no formal commitment required (number of sessions), although optimal outcomes require commitment to treatment.
Your initial counselling session consists of introductions, informed consent review, establishing rapport, and conducting formal or informal assessments as needed. Assessments may include questionnaires to evaluate symptoms of anxiety, depression, etc.
