Clara obtained her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2020 and holds a bachelor’s degree from UBC. She works within private clinics, focusing on acute orthopedic injuries, concussion management, and chronic pain rehabilitation. She has obtained additional certifications in dry needling (IMS), and vestibular rehabilitation and has received her Level 1 CPA Orthopedic Division certification. Her treatment involves a combination of individualized exercise plans, education on injury prevention and management, manual therapy, and modalities.

Jaslyen grew up in Abbotsford; she participated in a variety of sports in her childhood and remains a sports fanatic to this day. In addition to enjoying an active lifestyle, Jaslyen has a fondness for travel that stemmed from her education in French, English, and Punjabi. She earned a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of the Fraser Valley in 2016 while on a basketball scholarship and went on to graduate as Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPThy) from Bond University (Australia) in 2019 with high distinction. Jaslyen travelled to work in rural Australia, Stanford University, and Vietnam while in graduate school. Since graduating in 2019, she has served patients at clinics and schools in Melbourne, Abbotsford, Northern BC and the Caribbean. Jaslyen believes strongly in active rehabilitation, manual therapy, patient education, and injury prevention. Prior to becoming a Physiotherapist he worked as a fitness trainer and strength and conditioning coach. Our Offered Counselling Services

Back in Motion Health counsellors are all master’s-level trained mental health professionals that hold a license in good professional standing with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors, designating them as Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC).

We are here for you, no matter the support that you need to improve your mental health. We offer short or long-term counselling services using a variety of approaches: cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), talk therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness and acceptance-based therapies, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), somatic experiencing, Rogerian therapy, etc.

Our services have no formal commitment required (number of sessions), although optimal outcomes require commitment to treatment.

Your initial counselling session consists of introductions, informed consent review, establishing rapport, and conducting formal or informal assessments as needed. Assessments may include questionnaires to evaluate symptoms of anxiety, depression, etc.

The counselling team at Back in Motion is here to support you achieve your goals and create lasting change towards a more satisfying life. We understand counselling may be uncomfortable at first, and our experienced clinicians will do the best to ensure that you feel as comfortable as possible during your appointment/treatment.
